This camera points at the Sendai City Hall main building construction site, where the old 本庁舎 is being rebuilt. It is a construction watch cam rather than a view of the city: the frame is filled with the site itself, cranes, scaffolding and the shell of the new building as it rises floor by floor. Sendai City Hall runs the work, so the camera is there to let residents follow progress they are paying for. Open it during the working day, Japanese time, when the tower crane is moving and the change from the previous week is easiest to see. On weekends and holidays the site is quiet and the picture barely changes. One of the more useful Other cams Japan has for anyone tracking a long public building project.
