美ヶ原高原・長和町町営駐車場(山本小屋ふる里館前)

This camera looks at the Nagawa town parking area on the Utsukushigahara plateau, in front of the Yamamoto-goya Furusatokan lodge. It is listed as an Other cam in Japan and is operated by the Okamine camera group. The view covers the parking lot and the surrounding highland, giving a plain look at the weather on the plateau. Check it before driving up: the road to Utsukushigahara is closed in winter and the plateau is exposed to wind and fog even in summer. In the morning the lot fills with hikers heading for the Okamine radio tower and the marshland trails. In autumn the same frame shows the grass turning and the first frost on the cars. Open it when you want to know whether the mountain is clear or in cloud.
