Camivu lists 174 live railway and train cams: platforms, level crossings and mainline junctions, most of them railfan cams pointed at one stretch of track. Every listing points at the feed its operator publishes; Camivu hosts no video. Not every camera sends video. Plenty of agencies publish a single image and overwrite it every few seconds or minutes, so the page shows a still that refreshes instead of a moving picture. Some agencies also serve their images only to addresses inside their own country, which is why a cam can play for one visitor and refuse another. A camera that goes dark keeps its page: the picture comes back when the camera does.
