Harbor Plaza/Great Lakes Aquarium

This webcam from the Harbor Plaza at the Great Lakes Aquarium looks out over the Duluth-Superior harbor, the westernmost point of the Great Lakes-St. Lawrence Seaway. Operated by Duluth Harbor Cam, the feed shows the entrance to the port from Lake Superior's St. Louis Bay. It is a live video stream, so you can watch ore boats, saltwater freighters, and tugs maneuver in real time. The best moments come when a laker approaches the Aerial Lift Bridge, usually several times a day during the shipping season. Use the cam to spot ship arrivals before you head to the Canal Park viewing area, or just to keep an eye on weather and ice conditions when the port shuts down in winter.
