Romania's webcam network is split between a few national systems and the rest, which is community-run. The state road company operates traffic cameras on the busiest national roads and motorways, mainly around Bucharest, the mountain corridors to Transylvania, and the Black Sea coast in summer. The same agency posts roadside weather signs, and the cameras are used for real-time checks by drivers before weekend departures. In the cities the picture is patchier: Cluj-Napoca, Timișoara, and Brașov have city-hall webcams overlooking central squares, while Iași and Constanța rely on private building-top feeds. The densest mountain coverage comes from ski resorts in Prahova Valley, which operate slope and base-station webcams through the season and sometimes all year. Less known are the river cameras, a small set run by the national water authority that watch flood-prone sections of the Siret and Prut in the east and the Olt in the south, useful after heavy rain. What you will not find is uniform national coverage; parts of the Danube Delta and the northern Carpathians have almost no public cams. The useful ones are the passes, the trunk roads, and the few high-res city views that stay online at night.
